Mind
Mind is the site of registering all experiences. Mind therefore has been the focus of study by philosophers, prophets, swamis, gurus, psychiatrists, psychologists and neuroscientists. Each has made a contribution to this limit less field with each one of them convinced that they know the TRUTH. Modern science does not make such claims although every religion claims to answer the questions of the purpose of life. My interests have ranged from the Eastern tradition of Hinduism, Buddhism and Tantra to western philosophers, Freud and Neuroscientists. The references are included on this section and Entertainment section under books. Meditation can be likened to exercise for the brain that keeps the mind sharp and centered much the same as physical exercise does for the body.
Modern science does not propose to answer the questions of morality, purpose of life and modern society leaves a yawning gap in the sense of a fulfilling life. Consumerism, the byword of most societies leaves most with an unending, briefly satisfying but ultimately draining feeling. Religions on the other hand demand dogmatic adherence to ideas forged in a pre-industrial, pre-scientific, pre-democratic society. The following links offer some of what is available out there.
